About Me

Profile

Hi, I’m Soumadeep Maiti — a physics student with a passion for understanding the universe. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Physics at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. My academic journey has been focused on theoretical physics, especially in the areas of general relativity, quantum field theory, and cosmology.

Right now, I’m working at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, where I apply machine learning techniques to identify dark matter halos in large-scale cosmological simulations. I’m fascinated by how modern computational tools can help us uncover the invisible structure of the universe.

My scientific interests revolve around simulation-based inference, the structure of the Universe, and the unexplored nature of dark matter and dark energy.
